Customized, cost-effective workforce training

Does your organization rely on a workforce trained in the latest medical technologies? Are you frustrated by the cost and inefficiency of sending employees out of town for training? Are you looking for expert instructors who are leaders in their fields?

CBET is the only organization in the Rochester region to offer training customized to individual organizational requirements. Developed and delivered by RIT faculty and outside experts, CBET trainings feature:

Case examples

Radiation Saftey Officers:

Any hospital, medical center or research laboratory that uses X-ray machines or conducts a nuclear medicine program must by state law employ a Radiation Safety Officer. RSOs must receive 40 hours of training initially and two-day refresher courses every two years after that. CBET/RIT trainings in this arena are distinguished by particular expertise in medical as well as industrial radiation safety. (See RSO course outline.)

NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene:

Roughly a month after the 9/11 terrorist attacks, officials from the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene contacted CBET instructor Dr. P. Andrew Karam Ph.D., CHP (Certified Health Physicist). That conversation led to a series of engagements to help the New York police, fire and health departments prepare for possible radiological attack. (See Close-up: Radiological Terrorism.)

How it works

CBET faculty will create non-credit courses, workshops or seminars customized to the specific needs of attendees. These are not “one size fits all” courses designed without your input or that force you to guess whether the content will be valuable to you. Because each course is unique to your needs, the cost will depend on the length of the program and the number of enrollees.
